Inspire is a member of the IOL (Institute for Outdoor Learning), which supports, develops and promotes excellent practice in learning through outdoor experiences.
Paul Marshall, Director, holds the APIOL (Accredited Practitioner of the Institute for Outdoor Learning) and is also now a mentor to others working towards this award.
APIOL is a professional accreditation that demonstrates a benchmark standard in outdoor learning, it demonstrates that practitioners are; rounded professionals, who not only run activities safely but can also design and manage programmes; reflect on what they have learned and continue to develop as professionals; have broad experience and deep understanding about their work; are part of a moderated process with quality assurance mechanisms; have a frame work for staff training and development.
Inspire consulting and coaching is registered with the AALA (Adventure Activities Licensing Authority) as licensed to provide specified activities. These activities are: kayaking, open canoeing, improvised raft building, rock climbing, abseiling, gorge scrambling and off road cycling. Is your team ready to face their most adventurous challenge yet?
Inspire offer a selection of team challenge events designed to bond, build trust, explore comfort zones, and to have fun with your team. Sky High!
Build your team with this fun challenge that examines key areas of development such as communication, delegation, leadership, planning and time management. By the end of the day your team will have developed and implemented a strategy to acquire all the components required to launch the rocket.
Your team will be split into smaller subgroups and will have to decide on which tasks to complete to be awarded the necessary tokens to purchase components for the sky rocket. The quantity of tokens awarded will depend on how complex chosen tasks are. Each task is graded by how physical it is and how much thinking is required to complete the task. The more complicated and physical the task; the greater the risk is to complete within the time constraints to achieve maximum success. The challenge is to raise as many tokens as possible enabling the whole team to have a successful launch.
This event can be facilitated at most venues such as training centres, hotels, and sports grounds and is a mixture of indoor and outdoor tasks.
Conundrum
An opportunity for your team to try a variety of challenging outdoor adventure activities and explore team strengths and weaknesses.
This event requires the team to complete a range of challenges at different activity venues. On completion of each challenge the team will be awarded one part of a puzzle. The final challenge will be to build the puzzle using the parts you have successfully achieved throughout your quest. Depending on the venue used, this programme includes a range of adventure activities, navigation and problem solving tasks. It is not necessarily the fastest team that wins as planning, team work, and time management are all critical success factors as well as personal challenge and group support.
